This topic has been on my heart for a long time. It stems from going to marriage counseling to solve issues in my marriage. Once we go to counseling it has been my experience that the counselor will focus on the man first. Take care of his issues and get him on the right path and get a handle on his issues first. Counseling starts out with the issues of the marriage and break it's down to the man then the woman.

The problem with this method is both male and female have baggage they brought in the relationship and if you only focus on the male, he has too much baggage to deal with everything. But because man is the head of the household, he is addressed first, and being the head of the household comes with lots of responsibility. In Proverbs 1:8 "Hear, my child, your father's instruction, and do not reject your mother's teaching,"

So, there are 3 myths I want to debunk, through the word.

1. Once the man gets right the woman will follow.
So, going back to the beginning Genesis 3 was the start. Before that Adam had a job naming the animals, He was not a cheater, or a womanizer.  He didn't drink or do drugs. Wasn't in and out of prison, didn't steal, hang out in clubs and took care of his home. He even reached to the future by heading the word of Ephesians 5:25-26 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (26) in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. In Genesis 2:16-17 And the Lord God commanded the man, "You may freely eat of every tree of the garden, (17) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in that day that you eat of it you shall die."

Now in Genesis 3:2-3 this is the first time the woman didn't listen to her husband. (2) The women said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, (3) but God said, "You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, nor shall you touch it, or you shall die." The first issue is God never told Adam that he couldn't touch the tree. So, this tells us that the woman was halfway listening to Adam. She was concentrating on what she wanted. Adam was a good man, and she still didn't follow. Keep posted for myth 2.
